Are you ready ? here... we... go...
the market look like a small island or “Ko” as
its name.
Inside the market there are a group of reproduction
wooden row houses that resembling the kind of stores in the past. As you see in
the picture, every store in the market decorates under antique concept with antique
furniture such as antique cabinet, shelves, table, and chairs to make you feel like
you get back in the old period. Some stores adorn their shop differently with framed
photograph from history hanging on the wall while others use kitchenware and retro
lighting such as clockwork-powered lanterns. You will surprise to know that some
decorative items are not only used to show the visitors but it also still being
used until now by the shop owner or the customers such as an old bicycle that
parked outside some store.
The market has several kinds of good offer to you such
as hand made accessories, eye-catching photograph, postcard, wall hanging and
other decorative items for home. So, you can buy some souvenir of gift to your fried and family
from this site. More over, there are old
style pushcarts along the way that provide you some snacks and drink.
The final
area of the market is food zone, there are many food stall and outlets available. It provide different
kind of food in good taste and cheap price as below picture.
For me Ko Kloi Market is one of my favorite places
because it was not crowed of people, has fresh air and many beautiful scenery to take photo. I think it’s not
just an general antique market that collect the antique items but it is a small
living museum that full of interesting things. So, if I have a chance I will
visit there again.
For transport connections: car
Ko Kloi Market opens daily from
10.00 am. - 09.00 pm. The market located near Ko Kloi intersection on Highway
no.36. After driving pass the intersection, you will see PTT petrol station
stand on the left. It’s easy to spot your car at PTT petrol station’s parking
because the market shares an entrance with the pump.
