Bengal Tiger Mauls Chinese Boy to Die

Dusit, Bangkok: A 10-year-old Chinese boy has been brutally mauled to death by a Bengal tiger through the bars of the cage at Dusit Zoo yesterday.


An unlucky Chinese boy named Liu Wang Wu. He is only ten years old. He tried to take the Bengal tiger’s photo through the bars of the cage. Suddenly, a Bengal tiger mauled the boy fiercely and he got killed.


The policemen of Dusit police station hurried to the scene and blocked off the area around tiger cage. They did not want people to make a fuss here.


“I saw a Chinese family was standing in front of the tiger cage,” Pakorn Lum, Thai tourist said “Their son got close to the cage and tried to take a photo of the Bengal tigers. Then the boy was mauled by a Bengal tiger immediately.”


Napat Injaiuea, Zoo worker said “I heard the scream out loud from the Bengal tiger cage and I rushed over there with a stun gun”.


“When I arrived, I shot a stun gun at the crazy Bengal tiger, which was mauling a boy, to become unconscious“, he added.


The unfortunate boy’s parents were very shocked and said to the reporters, “It was our fault. We were not taking care of our son well. That caused this terrible incident.”


Mario Maurer, the owner of Dusit zoo showed his responsibility that, “I am very sorry to the Chinese family who lose their son and we will compensate them 100,000 baht for the terrible accident that occurred.”


The owner gave warning to tourists, “You have to be careful the animals of every cage in the zoo. We will rebuild all of the dangerous animal cages more tightly for the tourist’s safety”.
